This blog is maintained by THAW (Theaters Against War) , CUNY 4 Fahad (a group of concerned CUNY Law students) and Educators for Civil Liberties.
Our aim is to offer insight and analysis throughout Fahad Hashmi’s trial and to call public attention to inhumane conditions under which he is being held, the lack of due process in the trial proceeding and the complicity of our judicial system and Attorney General Holder in the abridgment of Fahad’s rights as a citizen and human being.
With Fahad’s trial beginning on April 28, 2010, we will be working to mobilize people to attend the court proceedings and will be reporting on the trial via this blog.
For a detailed account of Fahad’s case and its broader implications, please see Jeanne Theoharis’s article in the Nation, Guantánamo at Home.
